Highlights
VITZ is sale in January, 1999 as a Toyota's future world strategic car. A minor change was being done in December, 2001, and lavender metallic was added body color with a part improvement in August, 2003. Its characteristic, short & tall style, is given by FF two box car of the 3/5 door, by all the wide width of 1660mm to the entire length of 3640mm and all the height of 1500mm. Its long wheelbase with 2370mm, 4 adults can spend a comfortably, too.
A meter is arranged in the center and visibility is very good. A circle basis design of switches, air conditioner vent equipped with clean air filter which get rid of pollen as to all grades car.
A new development fuel-efficient engine, inline four 1.0 litter with VVT-i, is very compact and one of the top level fuel efficiency in the similar class cars. A transmission is super ECT 4AT or 5MT.
The 4WD car with 1.3 L VVT-i engine is added in August, 1999.
